This lovingly restored historic famine cottage is perched on a rock above Bunbeg Harbor with stunning views of the harbor and the mighty Atlantic Ocean just around the bend from the Coast Guard Station. Our quaint cottage is the quintessential Irish Stone Cottage. The Captain’s Nest is made for couples or a small group of friends who want to spend an intimate time in a cozy cottage by the sea. The Nest boasts amazing views from every window and comes with a fully fitted kitchen and sitting room with cozy fire, and a beautiful garden area with outdoor fire pit for relaxing on your perch above the harbor.

We didn't spend much time inside this cosy cottage because we've always been at Teach Hiúdaí Beag for the sessions during the Scoil Gheimhridh.

My week at the Cobblestone Cottage on Arranmore Island off the coast of Donegal is already coming to an end 🇨🇮 I’ve rarely felt so welcome. Deana has created a true gem here, an authentic Irish haven with the most spectacular view.
I spent the days writing, reading, painting, walking, and sitting by the fire with endless cups of tea — if you are looking for a place to embrace slow living again and to recharge - this is it 🔥. Even a few days in this peaceful place filled me up again for the season ahead.

Captain's Nest Cottage in Bunbeg Harbour is pure storybook charm. My wife and I had a magical three-day stay, waking to harbour views, peat fire warmth, and evenings watching the Atlantic sky fade. A true Donegal gem where time slows and every view feels like art.
